451 QUESTIONS, 20 ANSWERS

  1. Bradbury chooses to title the chapter "the Hearth and the Salamander" was a reference to Guy Montag who is capable of starting fires.
  2.  Guy Montag was shown in the story as "it was a pleasure to burn" which to me means that he likes to destroy things, he likes to hurt people and maybe it's because that's what he's knows his whole life.
  3. Bradbury uses metaphors since the beginning of the story. He characterizes a fire hose as a "great python" to realize that its not a good thing it can hurt you.
  4.  The 451 symbolizes the blazing and burning and charcoal ruins of history.
  5.  Clarisse had dark and shining and alive eyes that made Montag feel something quite wonderful.

  7. Clarisse questions him by asking about his love life with his wife and he tells her everything.
