In Les Miserables, there are different types of characters like static characters and dynamic characters. Dynamic characters are characters that change throughout the story just like Jean Valjean did over and over again.
Jean Valjean started off in the story being a helpful man and just trying to help out his sister and her family after her husband died. Jean Valjean was just trying to get some food for his sister's children but he made a huge mistake to steal a loaf of bread from the bakery. That's when it all went south for him. The police got him and took him to jail and he stayed there for 19 years for a crime that would have only cost him 5 years of his life. That was the moment that he turned bitter because of the fact that he was treated badly for a crime that could have fed his family.
The thing that made him hate everyone even more then he was before was when he got of jail he was supposed to get paid about 200 franks for all of the work he did but at the end, they only gave him 150 franks. Which made him believe that everyone was horrible and only cared about them selfs. Just then something changed in him when he stole from the bishop of Digne. When he stole the silvers from the bishop the police got him and took him to the bishop to see what he wanted to do with Jean Valjean. Jean Valjean thought that the bishop was going to have the police take him back to jail but that's not what completely happened.
What the bishop did next surprised everyone especially Jean Valjean. The bishop asked him why didn't he steals the candle stand that he had left in his room that had more value but he didn't. At that moment Jean Valjean was confused on why the bishop would want him to steal from him until the bishop gave his some advice about himself and that's when he changes again just by the words that the bishop spoke to him.
Jean Valjean went to go reflect on his actions when he sees a little boy playing with a coin and the coin rolls by Jean Valjean foot and he grabs it and with the intention of stealing the cion from the little boy. The second that he sees the little boy run away crying something changes in him and realized how bad he felt. At that moment we see Jean Valjean shed hot tears down his cheek. Jean Valjean relisted that he was turning bad but he didn't let it completely change him.

Studying the lit term has helped me understand the story of Les Mis because it thought me what was going on. It showed me how to understand why Jean Valjean was like the way he was.

Secrets
You're 15 years old and you live with your older sister, named Mair and her husband Kris you and your sister are really close and talk about everything. Kris is always picking on you about every guy you talk to but he loves you like your his sister and is always protecting you. About 3 years ago your parents got deported back to Mexico and they were going to put you into foster care but since your sister was 22 at the time she took care of you. Every day you still talk to your parents but you haven't seen them in person since last Chrismas. You started to do social media at the age of 13 and now you are a model living in Los Angles.
Early in the morning, I feel someones weight on me and then a scream ringing in my ears.
Mair (ma)- Wake up we have to go to the airport
Y/n- Why do we have to go to the airport
Ma- you forgot that Francisco is coming to visit from Mexico
I had totally forgotten that my cousin from Mexico was coming today and I can't wait to see him
Francisco has always been like my brother and best friend all in one

I get up and went to my bathroom getting ready to go to the airport
Kris (K)- hurry up we have to go meet up with him
y/n- im coming, hold up
I check one more time in the mirror and rush downstairs to the car
we drive all of the ways to the airport just getting there right o time
I was standing waiting to see Francisco when all of a sudden I lock eyes with him and I start to run into his arms
Francisco (F)- Wow prima eres realmente ligero (Wow you're really light)
y/n-Oh Cállate te he extrañado (oh shut up I have missed you )
F-Yo también te extrañé (I have missed you too)
Ma- Vamos niños (come on little kids)
F- hola prima (hey cuz)
she gives all of us a hug and we start walking to the car
F- Y el novio (so what up with the boyfriend)
Y/n- que novio (what boyfriend)
F- no tienes novio? (you don't have a boyfriend?)
Y/n-No tengo novio (i don't have a boyfriend)
He just looks at me like im lying but he knows me all too well he knows that I always want to have fun especially in Mexico but here I don't want to have a relationship because I want to have fun while I can and he knows that
We all got into the car and we were all talking about what has been going on in our life’s until I see my favorite coffee shop here in LA
Y/n-let’s stop to get coffee
Kris and Mair just look at each other realizing that there was no way I wouldn’t make them stop to get the best coffee
Kris-ok fine let’s stop
He turned the car around as fast just in time to find parking before the morning rush of people come rushing in for their morning coffee
we walk in and I see my favorite item on the menu, The black coffee, even if it's not like it is in Mexico its still good
I get in line for my coffee when I hear a heard of screaming girls running after two guys but I just ignore it
we get our coffee and I hear
Mair-lets go walk around and show Panchito around Hollywood
Y/n- ok let's do it
Panchito was a nickname we call him and now everyone knows him like that and that's never going to change
We start to walk around the town and see the beautiful streets and cars rushing around the town
I start talking with Panchito and tells me all about how my dad and mom are and it gets me so sad thinking about how I can't see them until December at the same time I remember all of my old friends from there when I used to go visit and I start to remember all of the fun times I had with everyone there I just hope I will be able to see them all again when I go in December
I got snapped out of reality
F-¿Los extrañas no? (you miss them don't you?)
Y/n- si (yeah)
F- y que paso con Luis? (so what happened with Luis?)
Flashback
Luis-Hey quieres bailar? (hey want to dance)
Y/n- si vamos (sure lets go)
we danced till the night ended but I could tell Panchito was mad at me for dancing with him that he pulled me to the side
F- tener cuidado con ese tipo (be careful with that guy)
y/n- Pensé que era tu amigo (i thought he was your friend)
F- él es, pero no hacer anthing estúpido ( he is but don't do anything stupid)
y/n-no
F-ok
we continue the night having fun and dancing when he pulls me closer and kisses me one last time
until the next thing I know we were making out in his bedroom and that when things got complicated
the next morning I woke up next to Luis on his bed naked that when I remember everything I did with him the night before while I was thinking about what just happened I look over at him and I see his sweet smile and then I see him wake up and he notices me looking at him with heart eyes but still kind of confused about everything
Luis - estas bien prinessa (Are you ok prinessa?)
he sits up and we are face to face
Y/n- si nomas tengo que ir a mi casa antes que mis primos peguten de mi (yeah I just have to go home before my cousins get worried)
Luis-ok bebe
we both got up and he took me home just in time to see my cousins barely waking up for the day
I walked into my house to see my friend Nathan just sitting there looking at me with a worried look
Background on Nathan
Nathan has been my friend since I was ten and he was 12 we meet because his cousin was also my cousin but me and him were never related but every year since I was 8 I would go to Mexico to see my grandma with my older sister because my parents couldn't go so it would just be me and her and in one of those trips me and him became good friends since we would both sleep in my cousins house but he was like me he lived in Fresno and he has always been like my older brother
Na- im so glad your back you have no idea how scared I was
he comes running up to me and tackles me with hugs
Y/n- im fine i was just with my aunts
I say while looking down at my hands until I feel his hands on mine and we interlock our hands and I look up and we meet face to face
Na-I know you were with him
Y/n- your not mad?
Na- a little but I'm just glad your safe I don't know what I would do if something happened to you
he pulls me into a hug and I finally know that i want him in my life forever
Back to reality

it was weird that at that moment I start to miss everyone
I turn to Panchito ad our eyes meet and he knowss what just happened and he opens his arms to me and I feel safe when all of a sudden Panchito lets go and I see his back was wet with coffee and a stranger standing behind him with his face of shook
Jonahs POV
it'ss still so weird to me that people actually know who I am when just a year ago I was a boy from a small town in Minnasota but now im Jonah Marais from the band Why Don't We
Me and one of my "little brothers", Zach, for the people that dont know me and Zach are both in the band but I had always had a speciel bond with him because he was the youngest in the group so I would always think about him as a little brother
But at this very moment he was mad at me for making him get up before noon
in the kitchen
Jo-Zach hurry up before there is a lot of people at the coffee shop
Zach walks down stairs with his hair still not done
Za- you know you could have gone with out me
Jo- come on we will go shopping right after
Za- fine but only because you know how much I love buying close
we get into the car but since Zach took so long to get ready there was so much traffic just to get to Hollywood which is like 10 minutes from our house it took us about an hour
When we finally got to the coffee shop we get out of the car and start to walk in when a group of girls outside in the streets of Hollywood and im guessing that they knew who we are because they saw us and started to run after us and don't get me wrong I love my fans but sometimes I just want to go back to when nobody knew who I was and I could just live life and love whoever I want but that's never going to happen
We ran from the the crowds we pasted by the backdoor of the coffee shop and i see this beautiful girl maybe the most beautiful girl i have ever seen
we finally made it out of that and me and Zach walk back to the coffee shop hopping that i will finally meet that girl but she wasn't there maybe i will never meet her again
we finally got our coffee and starts to walk around Hollywood and Zach being Zach Started to just run around and next thing i know he bumped into a guy
When he turns around i see the girl that i saw in the coffee shop and the only thing on my mind was her but i see her eyes on Zach

i was playing around when i bumped into a guy and i see Y/n all i could think is maybe she wont
remember me why would she until i hear

i go up to her and hug her relizig how much we have both grown up last time i saw her was like a year and half ago
