The pedestrian is story that Ray Bradbury wrote after having a run in with a police officer. One day when he went out for a walk a police man asked him why he was walking at night and he said to get fresh air but the police man thought that he was just being funny so he verbally attacked him. When he got home the started to write The Pedestrian. A story about a man going for a walk and getting stopped by a police car that would yelled at him and question him on going on a walk when life at that point in time people didn't interact with each other.
Ray Bradbury point of this story was to get out all the emotions that he felt when the police car was questioning him. He brought in the way he felt by writing in a described way that we felt the way he did at that every moment. Like when he wrote "needle thrust through chest" you could feel what he felt at the moment when the police car's light had him scared that he couldn't move. He brought in description when he was describing the setting the way he uses his words to make the reader feel like they are in the story.
He also tells the story though his eyes, the way he was seeing it when the police was questioning him when he went on the walk
